PCT 50-Miler and OBF

This week, I made reservations for our trip to Portland, Oregon in July. My wife and son will go with me, and our foster son will drive over from Spokane to meet us.

We'll spend some time at the Oregon Brewer's Festival, which I haven't been to since year 2000. While I'm there, I'll also run in the the PCT50 trail race, on the Pacific Coast Trail. It includes the beautiful Mount Hood as part of it's 50-mile course. Check out some of the photos from the race web site.

We'll spend about 1/2 our time in the Mount Hood area. I've been there many times for the Hood to Coast relay, but my family has only been in that area a couple of times. It should be fun. Can't wait!

Looks like a beautiful race. I'm sure some of the Oregon/Washington bloggers can give you some good tips from experience.

I don't think Ben needs any tips from us rookies. I just wish I could come partake in the activities.

Shoot, and I'll be out at White River 50 in WA with Rob that weekend! As the day hears, make sure to email me< I'd like to meet, if not at a race, may be for a run? Or a beer?

Olga,
I'd like to meet you, also. We'll be in downtown Portland a lot, so as the date nears, I'll keep in touch.

I am hoiping to attend a beerfest in PDX. I started hanging with a homebrewers club in Corvallis, and they have some pretty prolific brewers...that hit up lots of the beer fests.

Maybe we'll meet up! I saw no mention of "then Crallspace and I are going to head into the deep, misty forests and become vapors." Maybe next post.

Seriously though, if you head down the valley, think of me.

I'll get in touch with you before I head up there.
