Tag, I'm It !

I've been Tagged! Cynical Mud Babe tagged me, darn it!

1- How would you describe your running 10 years ago?

I was running on pavement 95% of the time. I was in constant training for "the next marathon." I also was in chronic pain! I was plagued with siatica, plantar fascitist, and an odd problem in one of my feet (that was later operated on). I was one year away from qualifying for Boston.

2-What is your best and worst run/race experience?

It's funny...time seems to erase the pain of a "worst experience," so I won't comment on that. My best run experience has always been the training runs and races that I've run with dear friends. It's just so much fun running with others outdoors.

3- Why do you run?

I started running to get back into reasonable cardio-shape. I found that I liked it. I especially enjoy "social" running.

4- What is the best or worst piece of advice you've been given about running?

The best advice I've been given: eat and keep up with my electrolyte levels during long runs or events. Worst advice: A podiatrist in 1991 told me to quit running, because "I didn't have the genes or body type for running long distances."

5- Tell us something surprising about yourself that not many people would know.

I used to be heavy into martial arts, and would spar / fight 6 days per week, and even owned my own studio.

Now I'm supposed to tag 5 other people so these are the people whose answers I'd really like to read:

Eric

Good Ben

David

Doug

Jason

Here are the rules guidelines:
If you have been tagged, you will find your name at the end of this post. You should then, copy the rules (or your version of them), and the set of questions onto your blog post, provide your own answers, and then tag 5 new people.

Just to be sure that everyone tagged knows they have been invited to play, go to their blogs and leave them a special comment letting them know, and refer them to your blog for details.

One more thing, once they've answered the questions on their own blog, they should come back to yours to tell you.
